FOUNDER AND ARTISTIC DIRECTOR ~ TINA TITZER:
Tina Titzer is originally from Louisiana where she studied ballet, tap and jazz as a child. Her true love became classical ballet and she joined her first ballet company, Acadia Classical Ballet in 1978. She then moved to California and was accepted into the Central Valley Dance Co. where she became a principle dancer. She also studied and performed with The Oakland Ballet. With a gypsy soul she then moved to Florida to further her education and joined The Florida Gulf Coast Ballet Co. under the direction of Ms. Beatrice DeParis. She also studied with the Tampa Ballet on a regular basis. Tina has performed in many ballet productions such as The Nutcracker, Coppelia, Cinderella, and Les Sylphides. Over twenty-five years ago Tina came to visit her sister in Fryeburg, ME. and never left. She opened her dance school in 1991. From that school came the incredibly talented Act One Dance Company.
The Weston Farm is a six generation family farm located in the foothills of western Maine. Since 1799 the Weston’s have practiced sustainable agriculture on the rich soils of the Saco River Valley. Currently over one thousand acres are under production in timber, diversified vegetable cropland, maple sugar orchard, Christmas trees, and forage hay.
