Request from Fryeburg Town Police Chief Joshua Potvin
Officers are starting to wind down from the busy summer season on the Saco River and are switching gears in preparation for the Fryeburg Fair. In response to the increasing demand for police officers across the country to be equipped with cameras I am pleased to announce we have been awarded a grant for new cruiser cameras which have been installed in our two front-line cruisers. We are currently seeking the public’s assistance with funding for the purchase of two body-worn cameras to be shared between the six officers. The body-worn cameras cost $1000/pc and will integrate with our new cruiser cameras. The new body-worn cameras will provide the officers and the public we serve with a well-documented account of each interaction and assist in the overall level of service we provide. Thank you for your support.
Have a safe day!
Chief Joshua J. Potvin
